Supervisor Stephen Brown  "Buck"

October 2023
Let me introduce you to our new addition............
I've been wanting to get one for the Township for a few years now.
Finally settled on this one.
This will help keep our pipes from blocking up by keeping our ditches clean of leaves and debris.
She's a pretty impressive piece of equipment.   It blows leaves and water 40'-50' no problem at all!

Happy New Year!   The warm rain and weather melted all the snow and the frost has came out of the ground.  This put our roads back to springtime conditions.  Everything is all mud.  We will resume construction on the inside of the storage shed until our next snow storm :)

The boys set out early this evening to keep up on the impending snowstorm.
Our Township has a total of 100 plow miles on it.
All three trucks will stay in route throughout the storm in an attempt to keep ahead of the blizzard conditions that tend to work against us in making huge drifts and unsafe road conditions.
We ask for your patience as we will do our best to plow all the roads in the most safe and efficient way possible.
Be careful if you must go out.

Storm preparation

Dec. 9, 2022

The heating is now completed and working in the storage shed.
We still have plenty of work on the inside during the winter in between storms.

Because of Mother Nature's mood swings this week, we worked inside when it rained and on decent days we continued to prepare for bad weather.
Below is ours trucks all ready for anything that comes our way till spring rolls around again.

This was a short week because of the holiday.
We worked in the shed putting more  metal sheeting on the
 walls.
It definitely brightens it up in there.
Finished framing the office area in the shed.
Completed our normal checking of the roads and did our regular beaver patrol.
Next week, weather permitting, we plan on cleaning out the frost joints in the
Como Rd bridge.  (This will not interfer with traffic)

We will also be replacing more signs.
I wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving!

This week was a combination of getting our equipment ready for a possible snow storm and working on the inside of the Storage Building.
We got up two heaters and are in the process of installing the wall sheeting.
In between working on the building, the plan for the rest of the week is to start replacing a few road signs and start the maintenance on our summer equipment to prepare it for winter storage.

We're back out patching the potholes and ditching along the side of the roads.
Been spending the rainy hours working on the inside of the storage shed.
The rest of the week we have plans to start prepping our trucks for the winter
season and a little brush mowing.
In our hours in between, the beavers keep us entertained with their constant
construction of their winter stick homes.    errrrrrrrrrr

We have been grading sections of Red Shale Road and Underwood Road.
Been working on opening blocked drain pipes, some due to debris from heavy rain
and some due to our busy beavers.
Started filling pot holes last week.  We will resume after the rainy weather subsides.
Plans to mow the road sides toward the end of this week.
